Rogers & Sony Ericsson X10 Xperia Launch

Yesterday (April 12th, 2010) was the official unveiling of Sony Ericsson‘s flagship Android device, the Xperia X10 on the Rogers network. This is the first Android device to be released by the Sony Ericsson (SE) brand. SE is making a big bet on the adoption of this device and their foray into the Android space. SE also has couple of other smaller form factor devices, cousins of the X10, on their product road map to be released in the upcoming months. Nexus One / Android settings for Rogers

For those of you who own a Nexus One and use it on the Rogers network, these are the settings which Rogers themselves suggest that you use. This evening I met again with a person from the Rogers team who verifies and certifies Android devices on the Rogers network. He provided me with the following settings and indicated that Google was also given these exact same settings in order for the Nexus One to be configured and ready to work on the Rogers network. Nexus One is here

The Nexus One is finally here. I received mine on Thursday, March 18th along with the dock and the spare battery. This device is a thing of beauty. From the slimness to the bright screen to the responsive interface. The Nexus One leaves my previous device, HTC Magic, eating dirt. The speed of the phone, the user interface and the sheer design of the device tell you that Google really did put a lot of time and thought into the making of the Nexus One. Puleen will be at Google IO 2010

Come May 18-21st, I’ll be attending Google I/O 2010 in the beautiful San Francisco. Since registering for the event, I’ve been excited and am really looking forward to being there in person. I am more excited about being there with several others who like me are fans of Google and absolutely love developing applications using their technology. Whether it is the App Engine, Maps or Android, it is always exciting to be attending one of these conferences to see what amazing things these people are coming up with and how much creativity they bring in their applications.
